Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them , but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead. -Louisa May Alcott
Yes,still at a beginning process - love the verse but still think that a vision is only a vision - I am not a romantic but love these thoughts - At one point it comes down to living the life mops, cooking and cleaning bathrooms, work, - Yet, I need to have a better vision without a crutch. Perhaps in time.
another of my favorite's is.."If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them." ~Henry David Thoreau
One of the best parts of working nights at my job is I get to watch the sunrise over the McDowell Mts. every morning. Sunrises always seem to bring on good thoughts, inspiration & serenity. Sounds like Louisa may have been watching one when she wrote that. Had a bonus, after sunrise treat yesterday. Went around the cart path & saw an eagle land on a light pole right next to another one. I stopped & they both looked down & stared at me for a second or 2. Never gone eye to eye with 2 eagles before. They seem so self assured & confident in what they do. Quite a look...
"Sometimes you've gotta let go, just to see if there was anything worth holding on to." - just read that, and I like it - it's so true. The person who came up with it probably didn't mean it the way I've interpreted it, but the thing I let go of recently was definitely not something worth holding on to. Quite the opposite actually, I see it now. And I don't want to reach out to it again, lesson learned, just have to keep reminding myself. t4e
